Knitwear Museum

Back to my old Tricks

So after the internship and then Florence and then Midterms and then Spring Break WHEW! I have been busy and I am happy to be back in Paris for sometime now because as wonderful as traveling is this city is huge and amazing and there are alway new things to see! A couple friends and I went to the Quai Branley Museum (very close to the eiffel tower) to see the exhibition titled Women in Orient organized by designer Christian Lacroix. It was an extensive collection of different traditional garments broken down by countries from the orient. It had incredible surface techniques on fabric with amazing color and detail as well as interesting jewelry.

Singer Sewing Machines

This store front had a bunch of singer sewing machines in the window...very cool display. Also there was some cool graffiti around Antwerp...not as much as Paris though.

Cathedral at Night

Love these pictures Talia took...was not late at night so the sky was like a gorgeous royal blue color and we walked around the Cathedral in Antwerp. (third picture is not the cathedral though)

Spring Break Food

So Belgium is famous for their fries and not their French Fries cause they are not French as the guy who sold us these fries laughingly reminded customers who tried to order french fries. They are traditionally eaten with mayonnaise but this particular place had over ten different sauces to dip with your fries!
