The Louis Vuitton exhibit today was very enlightening about the start of such a famous luxury company. It was at Musée Carnavalet in the 3rd arrondissement. It was very historical and more about Louis Vuitton and his family and the true beginnings and origin of one of the most famous luxury brands today. Of course no pictures were permitted though.
One of the coolest things I learned though was famous couturier Paul Poiret used to use Louis Vuitton trunks and had them personalized with a dot or "poi" and stripes or "les rays". Just a clever play on words and fun fashion fact and way to personalize luggage.
